Visitors, Pumpkins and Snow..

This Weekend was a lot of fun!! Jason and Jana came up to visit!! They got here Friday evening around 7:00, so shortly after they got here we decided to order some pizza (again not little caesar's), watched some movies until about 1:30 I think and went to bed. Saturday morning Jake had to go into work, so while he was at work I made French Toast for the rest of us. When Jake got home we all went up to Traverse City and went to a few stores and went to outback! YUM! After that we headed back to our house and watched movies the rest of the night. Sunday came way to fast!! We got up watched another movie, then we headed to Herrarda's, a very very good Mexican restaurant in town. After that Jason and Jana headed back to Illinois =0( It was a very fun visit and we can wait for them to come back up again!!

After Jason and Jana left Jake and I ran some errands and picked up some pumpkins!!

When we got home this is what we came home to!

That is everything that went on this past weekend!! We are very excited for this upcoming weekend!! My parents and Aunt Candy and Uncle Roger are coming up to visit!!

Fall is here and seems like it is almost gone!!

Hey Everyone!!

We really haven't been up to too much. Jake and I have been busy working. Last Saturday, Jake and I went on a drive to Mainstee, Michigan, which is an hour west of us and then went back east to Traverse City. We did a big C, kinda thing. but we went on this drive to do our own color tour or all the leaves. Let me tell you, there was one point we were high on a hill and it over looked a small lake and it was surrounded by trees! It was honestly breath taking! So. that was fun, then we went and saw a movie in Traverse City, headed home and got some pizza, (Not from Little Caesars). What a fun day =)

This weekend, we celebrated Sweetest Day on Friday, we went to a new restaurant called the Bear Claw Brewery and Grille in Cadillac, which was very good. Then, we headed up to Traverse City and went to Kohl's where I got a new winter coat! Sadly, I will have to wear it soon =0( .

Then, we went and saw another movie. Then headed back home.

Saturday, I had to work until close. So, to my surprise I still came home for something special on Sweetest Day!! Jake, surprised me with some flowers to come home to that night.

Then today, Sunday, we got to sleep in a little, then one of Jake's friend's Cam and his son Brice, came over to help us with some handy work around the house. That didn't take too long, so Jake and I did some grocery shopping! We also got Dozer a new toy!! Which, sadly he is already destroying. There is no toy that Dozer can not destroy...it is kinda sad.

That is what we really have been up to. We are very excited for the next two weekends because Jason and Jana are coming up to visit this weekend. Then, the following weekend Halloween weekend), Aunt Candy, Uncle Roger and my parents are coming up! So we will have a bunch of pictures the next couple weekends.

Where Did The Weekend Go?

Well, most of you might not know, I got a job!! I started on Thursday at little ceasers. It is a lot different from the work I am used to but it is a job, I also recieved a call this weekend from a resort to work in the spa as an attendent. So we shall see what happens!!
Well Friday was a long day, I worked until 10:00pm and then a few hours later we got some visitors!! Jennifer. Carrie, Rob and Joshua all came up to visit!! It was a lot of fun!! When they finally got here, I was extreamly tired and had to get up for a 9am meeting and I think everyone else was tired from the drive so we all hit the hay.

When we all got up, we had some awesome cinnamon rolls that Carrie brought up from Jewel, they were kinda the best I have ever had...better than cinnabon!! After breakfast I headed to the meeting while everyone else hung out and got ready for the day. Soon after I got back we decided to go to a Winery and Apple Picking!!! But before we started our adventure we stoped and got some lunch at Culvers! YUM! But when we got on our way, we actually found the Orchard this time!! With the help of Carrie and Rob's GPS of course!! (Thanks Guys!) We got a bunch of apples and carrie even got a spaghetti squash on the house!! I think it was because Josh is so cute. Jake and I got some extra honey crisp apples!! They are really really good!! I am going to make something with the apples we picked, I am not sure what yet. We have lots of pictures!!

After apple picking we stopped at Chateau Grand Traverse Tasting Room. We got to try six different wines. This was Jennifer, Jake and my first time!! We all found wines we liked!! Of course we ended up getting a couple!! A Late Harverst Reisling and a cherry sangria!! But after our fun little trip we headed back to the house and made smores, ran through the corn behind our house, had a bbq, and played "you might be a red neck" and watched the flubbies I mean Cubbies, It is a lot of fun and Carrie and Rob were both the biggest Red Neck!!! Maybe in another few months or so I will be the redneck!! haha. after the game, most of us went to bed we couldnt stay up to watch the cubbies loose...sorry cubs fans.

Sunday, we all got up Jake and I made our usual pancakes for breakfast and Jennifer, Carrie, Rob and Joshua all left =( Jake and I then spent the rest of the afternoon just relaxing until I had to go to work. That was our fun weekend and I cant wait to get more guests!!

This weekend went by too fast!

Well, lets see here. Friday Jake and I left right after Jake got out of work and headed striaght for Jake's parents where we all left to go to the Houghton Lake High School Football game, for those of you who don't that's where Jake went to high school and played football. It was a big game against their cross town rivals, the Roscommon bucks. It was a good time and Houghton Lake Won 14-7!!! Afterwards Jake's parents, a couple of their friends, Jake and I went out to eat afterwards and got some pizza, well they ate pizza i got a calzone. YUM! haha.



Saturday: Jake had to work during the day, so I slept in until he got home from work. Then we tried spent the afternoon trying to find a certian orchard near Traverse City to go apple picking, we got directions from Map Quest and directs were not correct so we didn't get to go. But instead we went into Traverse City and did dinner and a movie. We stoped at chili's and went and saw My Best Friend's Girl. Then we headed back home.

Sunday: Jake and I both got up early and headed out to his grandparents, we spent most the day out there had a delicious dinner and played two games of mexican train (A Domino Game), I love that game. Then we head up to his parents hung out there for about an hour, headed home, rented a couple movies and hit the hay.

That was our exciting weekend.

What We Have Been Up To The Past 4 Months!

Well, we moved into our house May 16th, also Jake's 23rd Birthday! My parent's and Jake's parents made the 5 hour haul from Illinois to Boon, Michigan! It was alot for me to get used to. It is very slow and quiet out here. I think after 4 months I am getting used to the country. My favorite thing is seeing all the stars on a clear night!! Well that and bonfires when we get visitors!! Jake is working at a dealership as a technician only 10 minuets away from our place. Unfortunetly, I have not had much luck with finding a job. But we know something is bound to come along!!!

The Following week we spent the weekend in Illinois to celebrate a late Fathers Day and Early 50th Birthday for my Dad.

July:
Fourth of July weekend was a busy one! My parents, Jason and Jana all came up to visit! We went to the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City. Best Cherries in the world!! Then we came back to our place where Jake's oldest brother and his family came over for a BBQ. The next day my family left to go back to Illinois and Jake and I went Kayaking! It was soooo much fun!!
That next weekend: Jennifer, Kay and Ashley came to visit us!! It was a good time...enough said!!
We also had Jakes family reunion at Macinaw City, His nicece and nephew's birthday party and spent a bunch of time up at his parents house.

August:
My parents came to visit a bunch! But at the end of the month they brought up my new car!! It's a red Jeep Grand Cheeroke Larado! I love it!! I needed to get a different car, the contour wouldn't make it up here in the winter! Our landlord even said something about might wanting to get a new car! haha.

September:
We spent Labor Day with my parents rafting down Mainstee River, it was a good time!!
Septemeber 12th Jake and I made a trip back down to Illinois. We were supposed to go to a sox game on the 13th but it rained from Friday night to Sunday morning non stop!! There was lots of flooding everywhere, so we ended up; hanging out with my parents all day Saturday, we went to dinner with my parents, Jason and Jana. Then we spent the night at the bowlling ally for my parents monthly leauge. We even squeezed in a movie. Let's just say I was dead by the end of the night. The next day we went to lunch with my Grandpa Ray. It was really good to get to see him! After lunch Jake headed back to Michigan, where he sat in traffic and found out the route to get back home was closed due to flooding!! He spent an extra 3 hours driving. Poor guy! While he was driving, I was hanging out at my parents! I stayed the week to help out at my dad and Jennifer's work. But I got to spend time with the family, Ashley, Felicia and even had a girls night with Carrie, Aunt Candy, Mom, Jennifer, Angela, Ashley and a few other lovely ladies, we went and saw the women! It was a nice little trip for me! Then Friday Jennifer, Kristi, Julie and Kurt all headed back to Michigan. It was a nice relaxing weekend with them! I was sad they had to leave!!
